In 1896, The Swan View Railway Tunnel was opened.
From the very beginning, it was acknowledged that it would be more suitable as a trail running tunnel than steam locomotives, but given the financial investment into the construction, it remained a train tunnel until 1966.
It remains today, the finest preserved trail running tunnel in all of Western Australia.
Light at the End of the Tunnel
The tunnel, along with the Eagle View and Heritage Trails, serves as the venue for the OMFG Trail Run.
The festival supports the On My Feet Group, a charity supporting the homeless and at risk of homelessness through support and running programmes to help them gain skills and knowledge to integrate back into society and employment opportunities.
The OMFG Trail Run is a collection of trail running events covering 6K, 10K, 16K or 25K with all events passing through the iconic tunnel on the way to the finish line.
WHAT DOES OMFG STAND FOR?
'ON MY FEET GROUP'
On My Feet transforms lives.
They assist those at risk or dealing with homelessness by providing exercise groups and structured programs which are aimed at creating pathways to self-sufficiency and improved wellbeing.
Being homeless is more than the absence of shelter, and they believe the most effective solution is to empower the individual to drive the changes necessary to get back on their feet.
They offer a hand up, not another handout.

REFUNDS, TRANSFERS & ROLLOVERS:
Due to this event being an associated fundraiser for On My Feet, we ask that anyone seeking a refund due to withdrawal, consider donating their entry to the nominated charity.
In the event that a refund is requested, participants will receive a full refund (minus the $30 admin fee) for all requests prior to April 1st, 2026. Strictly no refunds will apply after this date.
QUALIFICATION
The Race events are demanding physical events. By entering, Runners are acknowledging that they have trained appropriately for OMFG Trail.
Our philosophy with Ultra Series events is that if you are crazy enough to consider entering, then you are crazy enough to enter!
In all seriousness though, you are expected to have an adequate level of fitness and have trained appropriately for the event you are entering.

We know the pre-race jitters are kicking in, but before you reach for the "Contact Us" button, we have a small favour to ask: Please read the documents below first.
Our team loves a chat, but we spend a lot of time answering questions that are already tucked away in the Race Manual. Every time we have to explain where the start line is for the twentieth time, a trail marker loses its glow. If you have a question about start times, locations, or pricing, the answer is 99% likely waiting for you right there.
